Discouraged....

After a miserable run at the gym (I had to start walking after 4 miles because my knee hurt so bad) I entered my run into my iphone app and got a little depressed. The colored bars are the work outs I've completed, the gray ones are those I will run in the future. I'm wondering when I'm going to have days I have three hours available to run. Glad we are doing this together or I'm not sure I would be able to go through with it.

  1. Beth and I were saying the same thing this morning. We need each other or we would NEVER do this! 3 hours does sound overwhelming. Thinking we'll have to start around 5 am. We will help with the boys! Keep posting Curtis. It is encouraging.

  2. Hey - what ap are you using? It should come with a customized motivational recording: "Come on Curtis, you can do it! Imagine success and make it come true! Control your emotions and you control your destiny!"

    We're pushing for a standard 5 miler 3 times a week then going for increasing the long run by a mile a week. It all seems to be about the routine for us. As soon as you try to break the routine, your hosed. I have to at least get up and move during that time. Might not get the whole thing done, but at least my body and brain know there isn't any backing down.
